What’s the difference between PayTM and the BHIM app?

    • The basic difference between PayTM and the BHIM UPI is that PayTM is a sort of an e-wallet whereas with the BHIM UPI app you make bank-to-bank transfers.

You can store a limited amount of money in a mobile wallet like Paytm or MobiKwik, which you can send only to someone who is using the same wallet. But BHIM is UPI-based, and thus linked directly to a bank account. All the payee needs is a bank account. If this account is UPI activated, you can just ask for the payee’s VPA or virtual payment address, and make the payment to that account.

      • kohli

bhai plzz check this is this crct
bhim app is for single upi platform of all banks transaction where bank account connected with virtual payment address like mail mobile number etc..and also transaction to non upi accounts also possible

        • yes all correct and transaction to non upi accounts also possible

You can also send money via IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) and MMID (Mobile Money Identifier) Code to users who don’t have a UPI-based bank account.

          • kohli

            thank u bhai

      estimated budget for 1 yr

      • Abhishek Pavan

        ante ?

        • kohli

          What is Fiscal Policy?
Ans. Fiscal policy is a type of macroeconomic policy by which our government makes a strategic change to its spending and tax rates to influence a nation’s economy. Just like Monetary Policy, Fiscal Policy is another tool by which country’s economic conditions can be controlled.

    • Fiscal policy deals with the taxation and expenditure decisions of the government.
Monetary policy, deals with the supply of money in the economy and the rate of interest.

    • Main objectives of Fiscal Policy:

To maintain and achieve full employment.
      To stablilize the price level.
To stabilize the growth rate of the economy.
To maintain equilibrium in the Balance of Payments.
To promote the economic development of underdeveloped countries.

  • Demonetisation ka rj ne post kiya tha

Demonetization refers to discontinuing of current currency units and replacing those currency units with new currency units. It is a major decision and it impacts all the citizens of the country because overnight all the money you have become a piece of paper which has no value if you do not exchange it with new currency units or deposit it in the banks……..

The biggest advantage of demonetization is that it helps the government to track people who are having large sums of unaccounted cash or cash on which no income tax has been paid because many people who earn black money keep that money as cash in their houses or in some secret place which is very difficult to find and when demonetization happens all that cash is of no value and such people have two options one is to deposit the money in bank accounts and pay taxes on such amount and second option is to let the value of that cash reduced to zero.

The biggest disadvantage of demonetization is that once people in the country gets to know about it than initially for few days there is chaos and frenzy among public as everybody wants to get rid of demonetized notes which in turn sometimes can lead to law and order problem and chaotic situation especially in banks and ATMs which are the only medium to change the old currency units to new currency units.

okkk…toh inko mai post bhi krti rahungi :p

  • Muskaan:)

What are the pros and cons of a cashless economy?

    • Advantages

Transparency. It will be clearly visible to govt. who is spending and received what and how much. Hence, will help in mitigating corruption.

Security. It is easy to shut down a digital wallet easily and you have access to all your funds at your hand tip. Biometric ID is yours and no one else can use it.

Convenience. Eliminates need to carry cash. Digital payments can be made with just a tap on your smartphone and at your thumb impression. Easier to repay or borrow loans from banks.

Accounting is accurate. Very few made lists of their spends in a month. With digital payments you have history of your payments at just a tap away.

      Disadvantages

People tend to spend more money. Already seen it case of credit cards.

Privacy is a matter of past.

Criminal activities would become more difficult to prove. (Hackers use different VPN and IP addresses and hence it becomes difficult for tracking them).

Hackers can enter into your systems. They always find a way regardless of how much your systems are safe.

  • Abhishek Pavan

What is the meaning of underwriting securities ?

    • Rafael Nadal

securities underwriting refers to the process by which investment banks raise investment capital from investors on behalf of corporations and governments that are issuing securities . The services of an underwriter are typically used during a public offering in a primary market.

  • Rafael Nadal

Who will win elections of 2017 in Uttar Pradesh and why
    BJP
the only result of the 2017 UP elections that should be surprising is a BJP loss.In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 71 parliament seats by winning 328 (81 percent) of 403 assembly segments. This was unprecedented in the recent history of UP elections. To put that in context, the last time a political party won more than 80 percent of all constituencies in UP was in 1977, when the Janata party won 80 percent of the seats in a post-emergency landslide.

In a four-cornered, first-past-the-post system, the winning party needs only a 25-30% vote share in each constituency. In a four-cornered, first-past-the-post system, the winning party needs only a 25-30% vote share in each constituency. There has been no political party that has won so many seats in UP with such huge margins in recent history

  • Small Banks and Payments Banks

    – Small banks can accept all types of deposits like a commercial bank ( savings, current, fixed deposits, recurring deposits etc) on the other hand Payment banks can take deposits only on current & savings account. these cannot offer credit cards, NRI account, & time deposits( FD & RD).

    – Small banks cannot give depositors money as loan to others ( big industries) , but for small area of operation. Payment banks cannot give loans but can invest in G securities ( as most of the depositors are poor people. so, banks cannot take a risk).

    – For small banks – – – NBFC’s , any individual with 10 years of experience in banking can apply for licenses. For payment banks – – – Indian post, telecom companies can apply for licenses.

    – Target for small banks are MSME’s, business man. For Payment banks, poor people.

Both the Banks are for financial inclusion, providing banking services to the people ( especially rural areas) at low cost.
The Small banks & Payment banks are recommended by Nachiket mor committee for financial inclusion.

what are your views about AAP and Arvind kejriwal??
kripya kar ke koi gaali ka prayog naa kare..

  • Abhishek Pavan

    How banks make profit ?
    Quote some points ?

    • Rafael Nadal

banks basically make money by lending money at rates higher than the cost of the money they lend. More specifically, banks collect interest on loans and interest payments from the debt securities they own, and pay interest on deposits, CDs, and short-term borrowings. The difference is known as the “spread,” or the net interest income, and when that net interest income is divided by the bank’s earning assets, it is known as the net interest margin.

Net Interest Margin-Net interest margin is a performance metric that examines how successful a firm’s investment decisions are compared to its debt situations. A negative value denotes that the firm did not make an optimal decision, because interest expenses were greater than the amount of returns generated by investments.

    • BAKLOL

      primary profit..

bank savings pe 4% deposit deta hai aur loan 8-9-10% pe deta hai..

secondary profit..commisio,charges cross selling etc etc

      • Abhishek Pavan

        ,charges cross selling??????

        • BAKLOL

haa jaise sbi apna insurance bechta hai…sbi life aur sbi general insurance…

    • appyy

one of the profits ,Banks also charge fees for services like checking, ATM access and overdraft protection

  • Abhishek Pavan

NBFC’s can lend money to individuals ?

    • Rafael Nadal

NBFCs lend and make investments and hence their activities are alike to that of banks; however there are a few differences
      NBFCs cannot accept demand deposits;
      NBFCs do not form part of the payment and settlement system and cannot issue cheques drawn on itself;
deposit insurance facility of Deposit Insurance and Credit Guarantee Corporation is not available to depositors of NBFCs, unlike in case of banks.

  • Abhishek Pavan

Demand deposits means current and savings accounts ?

      hmm

  • Abhishek Pavan

What is net demand and time liabilitites ?
    what is LAF ?

    • Bank accounts from which you can withdraw your money at any time are called “Demand Liabilities” for exemplification, Savings accounts, Current Deposits etc.

Accounts from which you can’t just withdraw money at any time but you have to wait for certain period are called Time Liabilities for instance Fixed Deposits, cash certificates etc.

    • BAKLOL

bank ka libilities jo deposits hai wo hai…
demand libilities wo hai jo on demand pay karna padta hai jaise savings deposit aur current a/c ka deposit…
time liabilities in dono ko chhod ke baaki sab…

    • BAKLOL

LAF is a moneary tool which allows bank to borrow money through repurchase agreements..
      liquidity adjustment facility

      • Abhishek Pavan

REpurchase means already banks have bank rate and repo na then why LAF again ?

        • BAKLOL

ye day to day liquidity missmatch ko adjust karne ke liye hai…
repurchase matlab wo fir utna hi wapas purchase kar lega

          • Abhishek Pavan

kon karega bhai if bank borrows mny under laf then rbi will repurchase something from banks kya ?
i didnt get exampla please bhai ?

          • BAKLOL

A repurchase agreement is a form of short-term borrowing for dealers in government securities. The dealer sells the government securities to investors, usually on an overnight basis, and buys them back the following day.

          • Abhishek Pavan

            hmm got bro thnks

  • Rafael Nadal

    use of LAF in rbi?

    • Rafael Nadal

Liquidity Adjustment Facility is the primary instrument of Reserve Bank of India for modulating liquidity and transmitting interest rate signals to the market. It refers to the difference between the two key rates viz. repo rate and reverse repo rate. Informally, Liquidity Adjustment Facility is also known as Liquidity Corridor.
